What is SLM
June 28, 2010
SLM is a greenfield uranium exploration project at a late grassroots stage. SLM has a total of 10 license blocks in the Republic of Niger spanning approximately 5,000 square kilometers as well as 4 additional license blocks in final-stage application process (signed-off by Ministry of Mines and Energy as well as the Cabinet of the Prime Minister, awaiting the final signature by the Assembly), comprising an additional 2000 square kilometers.
In May 2010 SLM received positive results from a 1000 points radon survey expedition to the Ataras-Arabigou permits conducted by an experienced crew of Stratamodel Inc. and found two mineralized surface horizons and a mineralized fluvial chanel. The collected surface samples were sent to the SGS lab in Canada and tested 0.0192% & 0.0256% U3O8 respectively. Based on the positive results of survey SLM has identified 15 high-potential drill targets for the October 2010 – April 2011 exploration program.
